At the IHI AGM last Sunday a new Executive Committee was elected. The new committee is:
Last year's Executive Committee would like to wish the new committee all the best in the year and season ahead.
Due to the nearing end of the National League and the main body of events for the season, the IHI Executive Committee has reduced member registration fees for the remainder of the season. The new registration fee rates are €10 for adults and €5 for children.
These rates are available to all new registrations until the end of the season (August 31st 2012). Registering enables members to be eligible to participate in IHI and affiliated club activities. There are a number of events and tournaments being organised for the summer. Completing registration early will ensure eligiblity to take part these events.
On behalf of IHI, I would like to extend a heartfelt congratulations to both the Inline Hockey Cork and Galway Bay Lightning Development Division teams.
The Lightning have come out on top after a six game season, and all the games' statistics can be viewed on our League Website.
Both teams' performances deserve appreciation, having made most of their game days. The development of our sport in Ireland is paramount, and I would like to thank this year's clubs for their dedication and participation.
All the players involved in the Development Division are a massive part of our organization, and I wish them the best of luck in the future. I am certain that as all of our newer members' skills develop, our competitions will benefit as a whole.
I look forward to our next season, which is already shaping up to be much more sizable, and will, no doubt, test this year's champions as they defend their title.
Inline Hockey Ireland's 2012 AGM will take place on April 1st, in O'Loughlin Gaels GAA club, Kilkenny, at 1pm.
Nominations for positions on the executive committee 2012/2013 are now open. All nominations should be submitted in writing by March 11th.
