Inline Hockey Ireland

Congratulations to Team Ireland winning their first game of the World Championships Qualifiers. The guys had to work hard and definately started on the right foot with 3 quick goals in the first 2 and a bit minutes. The Macedonians settled down and started to tighten up making our boys have to work a lot harder.

The team kept on working, keeping alert and making sure that they no mistakes in defense. At the half the score was 8-0, but that didnt mean that they could step down a gear. The work continued and the final score was 14-0.

With all the goals being spread out by the whole team the group definitely showed a complete shared effort. It was also a great start to the two Goalies that split the game and came out with a fantastic goose egg of a shut out.

Here you can see the team at the end of the game. More pictures will follow shortly.

The Mens National Squad to travel to the World Championship Qualifiers has been selected and finalised. It was not the ideal process and quite difficult with the short time frame.

We are going to continue with the original plan of a third trial which will now be scheduled for September. The two mens(National and Development) and Ladies squads will be determined following this final date.

We have t...his morning been in contact with GBHI and have started to arrange the first tournament for the Mens Development squad to attend in the new year.

We would like to thank all those that showed the commitment to the program so far and would encourage further participation as the teams to travel next Summer to France is far from picked.

Thank you All,

Victor O'Brien
