The Under 17 National Team Programme is designed to give players a good grounding and introduction to international level inline hockey. There is a strong focus on enhancing individual skills and introducing players to a playing structure. Additionally the programme is geared to aid player development and giving junior players something to strive for and remain in the sport.

The coaching staff will usually hold try-outs each year and will regularly communicate with club coaches about players to consider. This squad will form the basis for selecting the final team that will represent Ireland at annual European Championships events.
If you want to be considered for selection please contact Inline Hockey Ireland.

Costs
As inline hockey or roller sports are not yet recognised by Sport Ireland we receive no financial assistance from the government. This means that all costs have to be funded by ourselves.
The association is committed to financially assisting as much as possible, but we need to be economically sustainable. Therefore unfortunately the majority of costs will fall on the players and their families. However, we will organise fundraising events and source as many sponsors as possible to ensure this cost is kept to a minimum.
All travel and equipment costs for Championships will be paid at cost and payments will be requested soon after final team selection.
